When We Bring the World to London We’re Building a Stronger Community and YOU Can Help

Do you travel across the province or nation to attend a convention, annual meeting or professional development opportunity for your industry? Do you travel to meet with individuals who share your interests or commitment to community or education?

If the answer is yes, you can help us Bring the World to London. Share the details of your event with us and we will determine if the London Convention Centre is a candidate to host. If the LCC can host your organization, we will utilize our expertise to inspire your organization or association to choose London and the LCC.

How Do We Build a Stronger Community?

Hosting a conference or convention in our city benefits everyone!

A conference in London showcases the achievements of you and your professional community locally and beyond. Hosting a conference here puts you and your colleagues in the spotlight, presenting opportunities for local leadership within your industry. A conference in our city gives every member of your professional community the opportunity to participate and benefit from speakers,

educational sessions and networking that can enhance their work. Bringing your association to London is not only great for you and your colleagues; it is great for your COMMUNITY. Conventions stimulate economic activity. When a conference planner or attendee comes to London they are investing in transportation (flights, trains, buses, taxis), accommodations,

meals, entertainment, gifts and more. These investments generate an average of $301 per day per person, which is going back into our community; into our restaurants, our shops, our businesses. Over the last 6 years conference delegates have generated 107.6 Million dollars in economic impact. This money supports our local businesses helping them to grow and prosper.

Together We Can

I so wanted the Nurse Practitioners Association of Ontario to be 'wowed' by our spectacular Convention Centre...it's big bright windows streaming the sun into our meeting...the exceptional food that was anything but 'conference food'...and the large, clean, state of the art multimedia rooms. I really wanted the Nurse Practitioners Association of Ontario to experience what a truly spectacular facility London has and I wanted our organization to feel the ease of planning a professional conference with professional staff. I would gladly champion to have NPAO back year after year!

Mary Lynn Stuckey

2013 LCC Ambassador

The ORNAO conference had never been held in London before and I was confident that we had a facility that was superior to others that I had attended conferences at. London has a long history and well-earned reputation for medical excellence, so why not have the PeriOperative Nurses Association of Ontario meet within our fine city? The staff worked very hard to ensure our conference was a success from the start. It was great to be able to showcase my hometown in such a manner and have such positive feedback from both the delegates and fellow conference committee members about both the facilities and the conference itself.

As a seasoned conference planner – who lives locally but has worked nationally for 20 years – I believe that the City of London and the London Convention Centre provide an exciting, progressive and economical destination for delegates and events. The professionalism and “team-player” attitudes from ALL of the Convention Centre staff – in combination with the stellar “product” that they sell - is second to none! In addition, the City of London affords groups quality accommodation, travel and entertainment options. As a long-time and bold fan of the LCC – I look forward to bringing more groups to London!
